I spent over 50 years in survival mode... the former poster girl for nervous system dysregulation.
I used to be hyper-vigilant, overthinking, and running on adrenaline I'd mistaken for strength and courage. I threw myself into life like a joy-seeking missile. I kept moving, reinventing, and chasing the next thing.
